My hometown of Ogikubo in Suginami City, with its spring-fed ponds, rivers, and fields, may actually have been very similar to Setagaya City. Artists I’ve known for years live there, and there are numerous recording studios too. In Shimokitazawa, I have performed in many live shows and theater productions and held many after-parties. I have recorded countless songs at Akira Inoue[作成者8.1]’s studio!”

Futako-Tamagawa, where I spent my late twenties and thirties, was really convenient for late-night shopping and visiting neighborhood bars. The area is filled with lots of fun memories with friends. It also had the warmth of a downtown neighborhood, and back then I really enjoyed those carefree days.
I now live in Komae, but there is no police station or tax office nearby and shops close early, so it can be really inconvenient. I look back on those days nostalgically, although I’ve grown accustomed to going to bed early now.
